The Wirestork newsroom reports legal, immigration, labour and regulatory developments across the UAE and the wider GCC. This policy sets out the standards every news story is held to before and after publication.

Editorial independence
Wirestork's newsroom operates independently of the company's commercial and legal-services functions. Reporting decisions — what we cover, how we cover it, and what we conclude — are made by the editorial team on news judgment alone.
Commercial relationships, advertisers and service partners never influence the framing or findings of a news story. Where a story touches a Wirestork service, that relationship is disclosed.
News sourcing standards
We prioritise primary, official sources: government announcements, court judgments, ministry circulars, official press releases, regulatory notices and public records.
- Every published news story is attributed to at least one verifiable primary source, recorded in our CMS and shown on the article.
- Secondary reporting is used only for context and is clearly distinguished from primary-source facts.
- Anonymous sourcing is avoided; where unavoidable, it is used sparingly and never as the sole basis for a factual claim.
Legal accuracy standards
Because our coverage concerns the law, accuracy is non-negotiable. Legal facts — statutes, deadlines, penalties, procedural steps — are checked against the official instrument that created them, not against summaries.
Where the law is unsettled or subject to interpretation, we say so plainly rather than presenting one reading as settled fact.
Review process
News moves quickly, so our workflow is deliberately lean: a story is drafted, passes a legal review gate, and is then published. The legal review confirms that every legal assertion is sourced and correctly stated. Search-engine metadata and structured data are generated automatically, so there is no separate SEO gate to slow publication.
Use of official government sources
Government and court materials are treated as authoritative for the facts they establish. We link to the official source wherever it is publicly available so readers can verify the record for themselves.

Wirestork News reports on what has happened. It is not legal advice. Our evergreen legal guides, written by Wirestork's Legal Authors, explain how the law applies in practice — and are kept editorially separate from the newsroom.
A news story may link to a relevant legal guide or service for readers who need to act, but the reporting itself never substitutes for advice on an individual's circumstances.
Updates and corrections
Stories are updated as events develop, and material changes are timestamped. When we get something wrong, we correct it transparently under our Corrections Policy.
