Every Wirestork news story is verified before publication. This policy explains how we check facts, confirm official documents, and attribute what we report.

Source verification
No factual claim is published on trust alone. Each is traced to its origin and confirmed against that origin before the story goes live.
- Facts are verified against the primary source that created them, not against another outlet's reporting.
- The source type — government announcement, court judgment, ministry circular, official press release, regulatory notice or public record — is recorded for every published story.
- When a claim cannot be verified to our standard, it is cut or explicitly labelled as unconfirmed.
Government and court document verification
Legal and governmental documents are checked against the issuing authority's official publication — the gazette entry, court register, ministry portal or regulator's notice — rather than a description of it.
Where an official document is available publicly, we link to it so readers can confirm the record independently.
Cross-checking procedures
Significant facts are corroborated across more than one authoritative source where possible. Dates, figures, names and legal citations are checked digit-by-digit against the source instrument.
A single unverified source is never sufficient for a material factual claim.
Attribution standards
We attribute clearly and specifically. Readers should always be able to see where a fact came from and, wherever possible, follow the link to the original.
- Primary-source facts are attributed to the issuing authority by name.
- Context drawn from secondary reporting is attributed and distinguished from primary facts.
- Quotations are reproduced faithfully and in context.
